vivo netiquette - Guidelines to guarantee a polite and respectful interaction on all vivo social media pages
vivo stands for “lively” – we cherish every individual’s opinion and are happy to receive any comments or suggestions that our customers might have regarding our brand and products. Our company culture is deeply rooted in the Chinese concept of Benfen. The core of Benfen is doing the right things, the right way, and keeping an unbiased mind. To make sure that our customers can enjoy vivo’s social media channels and voice hers or his questions and thoughts, we ask to treat others like one wants to be treated by themselves.
To help with this, we ask to follow our social media guidelines:
1. Be inspiring
At vivo, we believe in diversity and want to build a strong community full of team players that can rely on and inspire each other. Therefore, we want our social media channels to be a place that makes everybody feel welcome and impresses with team spirit.
2. Be respectful
Unbiased discussions and an appropriate choice of words are essential – even if you might have different opinions on some things. We welcome discussions but ask all of you to respect each other and stay constructive. Insults, sexually abusive comments as well as degrading and racist remarks are forbidden. Moreover, posts which violate the law or call for crimes are not permitted.
3. Stay clean
Self-promotion or promotion for third parties is not wanted on our social media channels. Posts which intend to influence market opportunities of certain products or suppliers do not belong here. Additionally, statements which violate the copyright (of us and of others) are not allowed. Multiple postings (spam) with identical or senseless content (especially in multiple threads) are not allowed as well.
4. Stay safe
The publication of individual e-mail addresses or private messages of others without having their explicit permission is not allowed. Because of data protection reasons, please do not mention any employee names. Also, do not publish any personal data (phone number, address, etc.) and be careful about the information you share on the internet. The protection of the personal data provided is very important to us! For more information, please read our privacy policy on [https://www.vivo.com/uk/index/privacyPolicy].
5. Be authentic
You are a vivo colleague or related to us in any other way and want to participate in the active exchange on vivo’s social media pages? Then please introduce yourself in your posts as such. Remember that the borders between public and private and personal and professional become blurred on the internet. So please treat information about you and your colleagues confidentially, because your posts can be linked to you.
If a post violates any of these rules, we reserve the right to hide or delete it. If you come across a post which you think ignores vivo’s netiquette, feel free to report it to us so we can take care of it. In the case of repeated violation, we reserve the right to ban users from our social media pages. Please also note that posts published by our users do not necessarily represent vivo’s opinion or philosophy.
We, the vivo social media team, take care of our pages very diligently. However, please keep in mind that mistakes can happen to all of us, which is why our team does not guarantee the completeness, correctness and topicality of the published content without reservation. That said, we guarantee one thing: We will do our best for you.
Thank you for your time and for reading our social Netiquette! We look forward to the beginning of a fascinating and innovative journey with you. Have a good time!
Kind regards,
your vivo team
