vivo announced the official start of construction on its new R&D headquarters in Chang’an, Dongguan, covering an area of 180 acres and a building area of 650,000 square meters. vivo will also build a training centre with a corporate university and an exhibition hall, covering 224 acres. Both projects will be operational by 2025.
As part of vivo’s global R&D strategy, the company’s R&D headquarters and other centres around the globe will serve as its “super brain” to imagine the future of the company’s products. The new R&D headquarters will not only boost vivo’s R&D capabilities, but also upgrade the company’s global R&D network.
