• The intensified long-term partnership with the pioneer in optics and optoelectronics, ZEISS – vivo is keeping up its promise to advance the "Perfect Shot"
Today, vivo marks two years of doing business in Europe. While expanding to several additional European markets since its launch across the continent, vivo introduced a range of smartphones, showing its commitment to user-centric design and innovation to consumers.
Two years of innovation in Europe
Since its market entry, vivo has brought many innovations to Europe. The company has committed itself to consumer research and entered the market with technology innovations, advancing consumers' access to advanced smartphone photography. One of the first highlights for the European market, the Gimbal 2.0, was introduced as a stabilizing technology which reduces motion shaking and allowed consumers to capture professional snapshots in real-world scenarios, where image stabilization is needed.
Moreover, vivo kicked off the strategic partnership with optical pioneer ZEISS and launched its first top-of-the-range model in collaboration with ZEISS, the vivo X60 Pro. With the V21 5G, vivo took mobile imaging for the selfie generation a step forward. Its 44MP front camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Dual Spotlight system allowed for clearer selfies and videos, even at night-time.
In 2022, vivo has reached several technological milestones, such as the introduction of the colour-changing design with the V-series and continued building on the professional mobile photography foundations of the X-series, as well as keeping up its good relations and partnerships with mobile imaging expert ZEISS, and sports collaborations during UEFA EURO 2020 and 2024.
Colour-changing design technology
Introduced in March 2022, vivo set a new design standard with its unique colour-changing technology. After three years of intensified research and lab testing, the photochromic design enables consumers to change the colour from gold to coast green when exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet light. With the first device encompassing this feature, vivo brings its latest fashion-forward smartphone, the vivo V23 5G, to Europe.
The latest member of the V-series thus does not only stand out thanks to its advanced front camera system elevating selfies and wide-angle shots with a 50MP front camera, but also thanks to its eye-catching design. And with the vivo X80 Lite launched this autumn, vivo brought the magical colour-changing technology also to the new X Lite-series.
Celebrating the X80 Pro in the vivo-way
By celebrating its first pan-European launch event in Berlin – the Xpedition – in June 2022, vivo highlighted the importance of the European market for its global strategy. For the first time ever, people from all over Europe had the opportunity to experience the devices on-site and get first-hand impressions of the vivo ZEISS Global Imaging Partnership.
Building on vivo X series' professional mobile photography foundations, the vivo X80 Pro, with its artistic cinematic mode, flagship performance, and technological innovations, continues to demonstrate the relentless pursuit for the perfect user's experience in photography and videography.
Connecting international football fans
Through strong local and European sports partnerships such as the one with the UEFA EURO 2020 and 2024TM, vivo creates the bridge between the passion for sport and catching those moments of breakthroughs and tackling challenges permanently, with the "Perfect Shot".
